Summer fun at the waterfall

We had such a great day at Deep Creek Waterfall. We had good friends, good food, and tons of laughter. The weather was perfect too. It was hot but not to hot and with the cool water it was perfect. The water is shallow enough where everyone parks in the water and you sit and relaxes next to your car. Over all it was the perfect day.

The kids had tons of fun being able just to run and play in the water. They really enjoyed squirting the boys with their water toys.

The men were being men and doing their guy tricks all over the waterfall. It was funny to watch.

OUR DADDY!!!

I feel so bless to have found Michael, not only because he is the best husband anyone could of asked for but because he is truly the best father I could of ask for for Payton and Madison.

Living with this Ks heat

This Ks heat has been kicking my whole family's butt. Payton, Maddy, and myself have gone to California for the last five summers and we've enjoyed the summer heat there. Well coming back here in the middle of June has got me thinking we should of stayed in CA. The heat is bad and then add on top of that humidity. It can read 90 outside but it feels more like 100. Its crazy how hot it can get here. I then feel bad that we run our A.C. all day and we use that much energy but if we don't run it then we all melt. I try to put it on a reasonable temperature but Michael like it below freezing in the house so we go back and forth on that issue.

I have been taking the kids to the pool so one they can be outside and two they can play in the water and stay nice and cool. But being in the water all day with the sun beaming right on you I don't think is very good. Payton and Maddy have always been water babies. They take to water like they were fishes. Once Payton gets in the pool, there's always a struggle to get him out. Madison likes to play in the water but once shes had enough then shes done!!!

On top of the heat being beyond hot and too much to go outside, we have these massive thunderstorms. I love these thunderstorms so much and when it happens at night, I sleep like a baby. The only bad thing to come with these storms (which happens every other day in the summer) are the tornadoes. If there where no tornadoes I wouldn't care how many storms wed get but the more storms we get the more tornado chances we get. And I just don't feel comfortable with that idea and with the idea of having a huge vacuum come out of the sky and take my house and all of our stuff, and destroy it all into little pieces within seconds. No thanks!!!!!

Summer Time fun

Megan and I took the kids to Spring lake and enjoyed a great day out.

There was a turtle that was just hanging out at the playground. The kids loved seeing the turtle, Payton wanted to take it home.

Payton and I rode the train at the park and Maddy got to ride a pony. They were very happy little children that day.

Enjoying my time with my babies, they grow up so fast. It makes me sad to think that they are already 5 and 6. Where does the time go??????

The joy of Rock Band

Our cousins have Rock Band and we all had a blast playing it. It is so much fun to see everyone really getting into playing these fake guitars and wanting to beat the pants off each other.

Family and dinner = perfect!!!!

Before leaving Califorina we had a great family dinner with my family, my aunt, uncle and cousins. I love my home and I love the life I made with my husband but the over-whelming joy and love you get when your with your family makes you want to do anythng to be able to stay like that forever.

Yes I would like some cool whip with my apple pie!!!

Payton was beng his super hero self when he came to me like this!!!! I was laughing so hard that I barely was able to take some pictures.

Can you tell what was happening here????? They were playing bad guys, good guys and Maddy loves beng the bad guy,lol.

Flowers Flowers Flowers

Madison, my mom, and I went to see all the beautiful flowers at the Luther Burbank home and gardens.

It's funny that I have never been there before and I grew up in Santa Rosa but it was alot of fun to share it with my daughter and my mom. It was a great girls day!!!

Maddy after being there for ten minutes was ready to go and didn't like it very much that Nanna and I were staying. Once we distracted her, she was okay but it was a hot day and I think looking at flowers that all kinda look the same may not be as much fun to a five year old as it was to us adults.
