My First Day

Today was my first day of my full time job as a teachers assistant.
I have been so use to being a mom and a wife for the past 7 years that I actually was a little nervous doing a job that I did for a whole year last year as a parent volunteer.
It was a great first day and I hope all year is this much fun.

My Little Boxer

Well the first week of school went really well for Payton and Maddy but I cant say the same after the second week.Maddy had gotten into a fight at school with another little girl. I was so sure that the other little girl had started the fight and my little princess was the poor victim.
WRONG!!!!!
Maddy actually hit the little girl first. I guess what had happen was, this little girl told Madison she couldn't be friends with Kaidance her best friend anymore. Maddy was so sad and tried telling this little girl that she was wrong and she and Kaidance are best friends. This little girl wouldn't stop telling Maddy no, so Maddy went in and punched the little girl. Well this little girl didn't like that so she hit Maddy back and they fought.
They both were taken into the office and got written up. I was so embarrassed that I cried. I just couldn't believe that one of my children would ever hit another person. It was a bad day at the Mead's when we all got home. Lets just hope that never happens again.

Too Cute

This is what I walked in on the other day when I was trying to get the family up for school.
The kids had gotten up and crawled into bed with their daddy and fell back to sleep. It was such a sweet moment.
If you look hard enough, you can see that Bella is between Maddy and Payton sleeping with the family too.

It's Official

It's official, I'm a full time working girl, I got the full time position for Mrs. Henry's teachers assistant. I will be working 5 days a week, from 8-3:35.
Its the prefect job for me. I get to work the hours my children are in school at the same school and get the same days they have off.
The best part of this job is I get to work with my friend Jolynn Henry and laugh all day.

Pizza!!!!

I love making homemade pizzas for the kids and myself. Maddy and I enjoy the same toppings and Payton likes just fresh grated cheese.
Its a lot of fun making food with Maddy and Payton, I wouldn't miss making these memories with my babies for anything.

Rainbows

The rainbow didn't turn out as pretty as it really was in person. Walking outside to see this pretty rainbow put a permitted smile on my face. The kids were excited to see it too. Who doesn't like seeing a rainbow?

First Day of School

The first day of school came and went, and Madison is an official kindergartner. It was a happy/sad day for me. Maddy was no longer in preschool and was going to be gone all day. I felt like I had lost my little baby girl. I know they grow up but to me 5 years went by so fast and I guess I wasn't ready to say goodbye to my little girl. Madison was ready and very excited to go and make new friends.

Maddy and I picked her outfit out the night before, she wanted to wear a pink dress and I thought this dress was the prefect first day of school outfit.

Little man picked out his outfit too. He thought he looked really cool for a first grader.

The Mead family very excited for the first day of school. Michael was still on leave so he got to come and watch Madison and Payton go to their classes. Proud mommy of her little girl going to kindergarten

Madison at her spot in her class. She didn't stop smiling the whole morning.

Something New

When you walked into our home, there was just an empty wall that I didn't know what to do with. So one day I went on a mission to Hobby Lobby and for $53 dollars got my welcome wall done. I made the banner and I hot glued the ribbons to the letters. All I have left to do is get pictures in the frames and debate on painting the wall then ill be done and it only took one day.

Peanut Butter Cookies

I absolutely love making these cookies from scratch. They're the kids favorite cookies I make for them. I add chocolate chips in them sometimes for something different but with or without the chocolate chips we love these cookies.

I got the recipe from the back of our sugar bag a couple of years ago. My favorite part of these cookies is that I use all natural ingredients and they still taste really really good.

Maddy lost her first two teeth!!!

Ever since Payton lost his teeth and got a visit from the tooth fairy, Madison has been trying to pull her teeth out. Granted she had already had a lose tooth, I'm pretty sure she helped move the process faster.
She and Payton came running into the kitchen yelling her tooth is falling out. So I looked and sure enough it was just hanging there. All three of us were super excited.

Madison wanted to try her self in pulling her first tooth out like Payton. She worked really hard but nothing.

Payton then wanted to try and it was so cute and funny at teh same time. What a sweet big brother.

The first tooth came out!!!!!!

The second tooth was really lose too and we decided to just pull it out. Michael was a big baby and didn't want to touch the tooth or even try and pull it. It was funny. I think he scared her alittle cause she wasn't that happy when we got the second one out.

My matching babies. It is so funny how she lost her first teeth a whole year before Payton had lost his. Now people will really think they are twins.

Love My Boys

Payton has been attached to his daddy since Michael has come home. Payton looks up to Michael and plans cute little daddy and him time. I happened to come across them having milk and cookies together before bedtime. It was a very sweet moment.

My silly boy split milk on himself and thought it was very very funny. It made us all laugh.

My Inlaws Came to Visit

Michael's parents came for a very nice visit after he got home from California. It had been over a year since his parents had seen Payton and Maddy and the kids loved seeing their grandpa and grandma.
Of course when my in-laws came to visit, the temperatures outside were reaching 105 and up. So we had to try and do things inside which is hard for being here in Ks. Most things that are fun to do are outside or they are a two hour drive away. Plus Michael's dad Mike couldn't move around easily with his health conditions so we had to try and make sure we didn't over do it for him. Over all we all had a fun being together and it was a very nice visit.

One of the days we decided to all go and see Despicable Me. It was one of the cutest movie of all time that we have taken our kids to see. I love, love, love this movie. The whole time Payton and Maddy were laughing. One of the best family movies that have been made. Any age child can go and see this movie and same goes for adults. All familys should go together and watch this movie.
We went to the first showing at the movie theater and we had the whole place to our selves. It was alot of fun and cheap!!!! I had made some home made snacks and popcorn and had brought them with us. All we had to buy was our tickets and a drink. We came away from watching a great movie for only $30 dollars. And now a days for a family of 4, that was a really great deal.

Michael throws a party

Michael threw a party for his friends before they all left for 30 days of leave. It was a nice gathering for all the guys since they had just gotten back from the "sandbox". It was such a fun night.

I felt like I was in college at a frat house, with all the fun drinking games that the guys were playing. I actually kicked their butts at some of their games and I had a blast doing it.

I had forgotten how men can drink and drink and drink.

Some how before the party really got started Maddy had three grown men go to her room and have a tea party. The guys are in their early 20s and are all single. The last thing I thought they would do is sit down and pretend to eat noddles and drink tea with a bossy 5 year girl. These guys are so sweet for doing that for Maddy.

I am pretty sure everyone had a great time and we all enjoyed each others company. Michael's friends are so funny, the whole night I was laughing. When they all get back from leave, we will for sure be throwing another fun get together.

SESAME STREET LIVE

The Military throws sometimes free shows for families and they happen this year to do Sesame Street. Maddy loves watching Sesame Street and Payton grew up watching it as a toddler, so they both were super excited when we went to get our tickets. Our best friends came and we all enjoyed a great show.

We got there alittle early for good seats. I couldn't believe how close the kids were to the stage considering all the people there. Maddy and Payton were smiling the whole time.

Payton and Maddy were able to go up and hug all the characters. And Payton loves Elmo so that was huge for him.It was so cute.

Michael was a good sport in coming, since he had only gotten 3 hours of sleep from coming home from NTC that morning.
