Enjoying my time with my babies, they grow up so fast. It makes me sad to think that they are already 5 and 6. Where does the time go??????

The joy of Rock Band

Our cousins have Rock Band and we all had a blast playing it. It is so much fun to see everyone really getting into playing these fake guitars and wanting to beat the pants off each other.

Family and dinner = perfect!!!!

Before leaving Califorina we had a great family dinner with my family, my aunt, uncle and cousins. I love my home and I love the life I made with my husband but the over-whelming joy and love you get when your with your family makes you want to do anythng to be able to stay like that forever.

Flowers Flowers Flowers

Madison, my mom, and I went to see all the beautiful flowers at the Luther Burbank home and gardens.

It's funny that I have never been there before and I grew up in Santa Rosa but it was alot of fun to share it with my daughter and my mom. It was a great girls day!!!

Maddy after being there for ten minutes was ready to go and didn't like it very much that Nanna and I were staying. Once we distracted her, she was okay but it was a hot day and I think looking at flowers that all kinda look the same may not be as much fun to a five year old as it was to us adults.

Movie Night

Town Green in Windsor during the summer has Tuesday night kids movie night. You bring your chairs, blankets, snacks, and you enjoy a free movie with your family outside with your friends, family, and community. But who knew your community would be filled hundreds of junior highers with cell phones and high pitched yells. I couldn't believe how many times i had to ask the teens to move out of my children's way so they could see the movie. Once we moved away from the noise of chatting and Payton and Maddy were able to watch the movie we had a nice time. Payton liked the movie alot and Maddy did alright. Bill, Mom, Maureen, and Megan all came with us and it was just a nice evening. It makes my want to have something like that back home where we could all just get together with our families and enjoy a nice evening outside watching a fun movie. Maybe we can start something?????

We were at the ocean and all of a sudden this big sea lion came up and was only 10 feet away from us. Payton and Maddy were so surprised and thrilled.

Beautiful California

Its so nice to be back home. I feel lucky to be able to come back every summer and share with my children the love of California that I have. My favorite activity is going to the ocean. There is just something about being around the water, and looking for sea shells that's relaxes me. The kids also just love being at the beach. The Meads are for sure a water family and being in KS doesn't make us very happy.

California here we come!

It feels so good to be home. Don't get me wrong I love our home in Kansas but my heart belongs in California.I'm not sure if its because my familys here or if its cause I was born and raised here but I always feel a sense of comfort when I get here.
The plane ride was fine. We were delayed for over an hour but all went well. In the airports now at your gate they have kid areas where they can watch their cartoons and have a little table to do whatever at. Its nice for us parents. Payton and Maddy were in heaven when Scooby was on.
