Milford Nature and Wild Life Center

Enjoyed a very nice day with the kids and our friends. It was alittle warmer then we thought it would be but it was still nice day.

All the animals they have, have been rescued and saved. It's nice to think that there are still places who cares about the well being of animals.

Payton loved the Butterflies and was so very happy that one landed on him.

Everything was very nice and green from the night befores rain.

How is it in this picture three out of six are looking when we said look at the camera? Silly children.

Payton and Kellsey looking at the hundreds of good fish they had at the fish holding tanks.

A momma prairie dog had four babies. They were so cute and by the way they were moving you knew they couldn't be more then a couple of weeks old. So so so cute!!!!!!!

Our Aquarium

It has been a long time coming but I finally put our aquarium up and running. Michael is going to be so surprised when he gets home from California. The kids and I took forever to pick out the fish. Payton picked out the shark fish and Maddy of course picked the hot pink fish. It is so relaxing to look at the tank. It calms the whole house. We are enjoying our new pets very much.

School shopping for Maddy

Can someone tell me why little girl clothes are so expensive? It's not like there is much fabric to them and she grows so fast anyways so why would I would I want to some a ton when in six months they wont fit. I thought with my budget that Madison would get tons and tons of outfits for kindergarten. I mean I didn't do bad but I just wish that clothing prices wouldn't be so much. We got some good deals but Maddy loves dresses and I wanted to get her alot but it seemed that dresses cost more then some of her two piece outfits. Over all Maddy was happy so that's all that counts.

Dance, Sing, Dance

Some days are slower then others around here, so Payton and Maddy like to put on shows for me and this one was a rock and roll one. It was really cute and then they had me be part of their show. How can I keep them from growing??? I want them to stay at this special age where everything is fun and silly to them. I love my silly babies.

Relaxing

Every two week I get my battery recharged by going and getting my nails done. I don't know how to explain it but I literally walk into those doors and theres a calmness that goes over me. I don't have to be a mommy, or a wife for those 30 mins, I just relax. I think its funny that I get so much out of $25 dollars.

Being a single parent

It has been a week without Michael and I feel already done with this whole single parent thing. It actually feels like hes deployed again and i have a year of this. The only difference is the kids are older and they can talk back now.
Michael and I have really only talked about 3 times which all three combined calls have totaled 10 mins. He doesn't have signal out there in the "California sandbox", so we've used his friends phone. I feel like i do better when i don't actually hear his voice. It makes it easier on me some how.
The kids are doing fine too. Maddy of coursed had a hard three days in the beginning but shes is just fine now. Payton the other night had said the cutest thing. It was his turn to say grace and he had started off like all the other times but then he said "dear heavenly father, I ask you to help my daddy come home faster. I know hes teaching the boys how to fight, but i need him home to help my with my psp game. He's the best player and i really need his help. Please please make sure he doesn't get hurt cause I need him to be the best daddy and help me win. Amen". I said Amen but Maddy had just started to eat and he yells at her "if you don't say Amen then god wont hear us and he wont make sure daddy is safe. You have to say Amen". Maddy yells "Amen, Amen, Amen. There Payton I said it three times so he will hear us". It was so cute to hear them talk like that.
I do have to say that the house stays much cleaner and I don't know if its cause I have nothing else to do but clean or if its because I don't have a man taking all my attention and me not really wanting to clean when hes around. Whatever the reason is I love it!!!!!!!!

My Little ones

Happy 4th of July

Well we started our 4Th of July by saying bye to
Michael for a month. We then got stuck in the house all day due to the storm that was happening outside. I still believed we had a good 4Th with our friends and good food.

I had so much fun playing Monopoly with Terri, Bj, and Shane. The gamed I swear lasted 4 hours. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard playing a board game.

The rain had finally stopped just in time for the fireworks. We didn't feel like going all the way into Junction City so we went to the outdoor Chapel on top of the hill and it was the best view we could of asked for with out all the people.

Saying Goodbye to Daddy

We started off our Independence day saying goodbye to daddy. Michael had to go to California for training for a month. The kids were sad saying bye to their daddy.

Michael's bags are packed and ready to go. I laughed to my self when i saw this is all he needed for a month away. When the kids and I travel we each have two bags for just a couple of weeks.

I believe the kids had said goodbye to Michael a hundred times. They kept saying their love yous and wanting lots and lots of kisses and hugs. They are so sweet and poor Maddy cried days before just thinking about her daddy being gone. She kept asking if she could go to work with him and then Payton wanted to go. This month should be fun for me!!!!!

We will miss our daddy very much and we just hope that this month goes by fast and he will be home before we know it.
WE LOVE YOU DADDY!

Swimming Time!!!!!!

We have been having tons of fun going to the pool and enjoying the nice cool water in the KS heat. We live a minute away from our pool so getting ready to go doesn't take long. Custer Hill pool is never busy in which, lets Maddy and Payton have the freedom to swim and play with out the splashing and bumping into others.
Payton and Maddy are little fishes in the water and it bugs them that they have to wear life jackets but i tell them rules are rules and we always follow the rules. Payton always just laughs at me.

Our friends came and played with us. I think we all had fun. It would of been perfect if the sun would of shined more.

I can say with confidence that we will be at the pool all of July if the weather permits. We Mead's love the water!!!!
